Today, we are proudly publishing the first Auping Impact Report 2023, previously known as the Corporate Sustainability Report (CSR). The name has been changed for a reason; this report is more than just a corporate account of our sustainability initiatives. In line with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) that will come into effect in Europe in 2025, we are reporting more comprehensively, transparently, and concretely than ever about our impact.

In Europe 30 million mattress a year are discarded. Most mattresses are hard to recycle because of the way the materials are used. They end up in incinerators. resulting in substantial CO2 emissions. In 2018 Auping and Niaga launched the world’s first circular mattress. A mattress designed so the valuable materials can be infinitely reused to make new mattresses. 

On Tuesday, February 6th, Auping celebrated a world first in the mattress industry. Our brand-new factory was officially opened by the Mayor of Deventer, Ron König, together with the oldest and one of the youngest members of the Auping family. 

Auping Noble has been declared Winner in the furniture category by the jury of the Archiproducts Design Awards 2023.

Together with Niaga we developed the Product passport. This platform provides insight into the supply chain of Auping Evolve. In other words, all suppliers who supply materials for the production of the mattress are listed. They have signed an agreement in which they indicate exactly which materials come from where. So you can find all the information together in one place. 

Today, we are delighted to publish the Auping Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report 2022 with a sense of pride. We provide an overview of the sustainable steps we took in 2022 and share our goals for the future.
